Here’s what I’m currently focused on — professionally, personally, and creatively.
Music & Creative Work
- Wrapping up the final stages of post-production for the upcoming album by Ius Talionis — a long-term artistic endeavor that’s finally approaching release readiness.
- Tinkering with this digital garden. Creating some content, reliving the oldschool web2.0 experience and having some distance to social media. Simply enjoying Markdown and Hugo.
Driving License (finally)
- After over 20 years without a driver’s license, I’m currently undergoing driver training (Class B and BE).
Professional Life
- Leading the management of multiple parallel projects for a major client undergoing a radical technical modernization.
- The work is intense, high-stakes, and rewarding — involving strategy, coordination, and frequent firefighting.
Tools & Thinking
- Currently obsessed with Obsidian.md — refining my personal knowledge management system and building long-term structures for writing, documentation, and research.
- Slowly evolving a method that blends Markdown, YAML, tagging, and custom workflows — classic overengineering, but fun.
Ongoing Life Projects
- Continuing the long-haul renovation of a 1960s house that’s been structurally neglected for decades.
- Simultaneously, keeping up with the care of a large garden, which demands seasonal attention, planning, and patience.
- The eternal challenge: our multi-cat household with three distinct feline “factions”, each with trauma, quirks, and complicated social dynamics.
- Progress is real, but slow — and measured in months, not weeks.
Background Threads
- Still deeply into documentation culture: everything gets logged, tracked, and versioned — from gym sessions to relationship insights.
- Maintaining a strong bias for structured thinking, even in private life — sometimes too structured, admittedly.
- Continually working on Scolohub, my long-term web project on centipede taxonomy and husbandry (currently in German, eventually bilingual).
Inspired by Derek Sivers’ /now movement.
